About 50 years ago, Peter Thomson, five-time winner of The Open Championship, came to Yamato. Inspired by Scotland’s Old Course, he designed a golf course that demands diverse skills from golfers.
The West Course requires accurate shots, the East Course requires solid tee shots, and the South Course demands a sense of distance combined with slopes — together forming 27 holes that help golfers improve.
Excellent access from Osaka, about 6 minutes from the Meihan National Road Hari IC. Many single-player reservation slots are available. The red tee, which makes it easier for women to achieve good scores, is popular. The specialty is motsu-nabe (offal hot pot). Opened on October 29, 1974.
