Carramar Golf Course

Karama Golf Course is a heavily wooded 18-hole public golf course and driving range with resort style standards, located on Golf Links Drive in the heart of Karama. The course is located 40 minutes north of Perth city centre, close to the Kalama Village Shopping Centre and Lake Joondalup. The Kalama Golf Course was designed by Bob Stanton and opened by the Wanneroo City Council in 1994. It is regarded as one of the toughest golf courses in Perth.

Known for its difficulty, Karama opens in the native Australian bushland, giving golfers who enjoy a challenge a chance to enjoy the wildflowers and kangaroos that grow on the course.

The most challenging holes on the Kalama Course are the 423 metre long par 4 and par 5 holes, known as the ‘Heartbreak Slope’. Many tournaments have been ruined by this strange hole. To play par golf, you need to drive about 250 metres from the elevated tees to get over the corner and have a chance to two-putt up the hill! Hit five shots and you'll be happy!

Golf facilities at the course include a picturesque 18-hole course, a 150-metre all-grass driving range and three practice greens for golfers to improve their game. Private adult lessons, junior camps and development groups are also available, all under the guidance of PGA-certified professionals. There is also a boutique, club fitting service, club hire and a licensed bar and cafe.
