Wollongong Golf Club

Adjacent to the beach, the course features five holes and is backed by mountains with spectacular natural views. The club was founded in 1897, ten years before the town was electrified.

Wollongong Golf Club is situated on a magnificent stretch of pristine coastline. Its proximity to the town centre and beaches, breathtaking views along the coast and the magnificent mountain backdrop make it one of the most unique golfing experiences in New South Wales.

Since its inception, Wollongong Golf Club has hosted major champions such as Gene Sarazen, Gary Player, Bobby Locke and Steve Elkington. Although Wollongong Golf Club is one of Australia's oldest golf clubs and has just passed the 120 year milestone, its core values and philosophy remain the same; friendship, fulfilment and respect are at the heart of everything we do.

The club has hosted a number of tournaments over the years, the most recent being the NSW PGA Championship (2009 - 2011) and the Jack Newton Subaru State Age Championship (2014 - 2015).
