Horizons Golf Resort

Horizon Golf Resort is nestled in the spectacular wetlands of Port Stephens, the perfect ‘holiday’ destination. This turquoise ocean paradise boasts pristine waterways two and a half times its size, more than 26 golden sandy beaches, ecologically rich marine and national parks, award-winning seafood restaurants and places to explore, play or relax.

Horizon Golf Resort was designed by the internationally acclaimed Australian design team of Ross Watson and Graham Marsh. The resort opened in 1992 and just ten years later was rated as the top golf resort in New South Wales and in 2002 was ranked among Australia's Top 50 Golf Courses.

Converted from swampland, the course is a challenging design that makes the most of nature's myriad gifts - lakes, bushland and wetlands. The manicured Bentgrass greens are rated amongst the best in the country. The course features expansive lakes and undulating fairways surrounded by natural bushland and abundant wildlife.

Of particular note is the stunning 153 metre par 3 17th hole, which is ranked in the world and listed as one of the top golf holes in the world by the book 1001 Golf Holes You Must Play in Your Lifetime.
