Course Introduction

Nexus Golf Resort Karambunai is located just a short drive north of Kota Kinabalu City and 30 minutes from Kota Kinabalu International Airport. It is a treasure trove of innovative and modern 18-hole par 72 championship courses designed by renowned American golf course mapper Ronald Fream and preserved in its natural form.

Stretching 6,063 kilometres from the mountains to the picturesque sandy beaches, the course is unique in Sabah for its conditioning and turf maintenance. The course tees off from the mainland and plays along the beach from the third to the fifth hole with the towering peak of Kinabalu in the background. Nestled between billions of years of pristine rainforest and the South China Sea, the course offers golfers breathtaking views of Kinabalu Peak and white sandy beaches. The main features of the course are the undulating fairways and the cleverly designed layout along a series of small lakes, waterways and hills that add to the challenge of the course.
