Luang Prabang Golf Club

Luang Prabang Golf Club is located about 6 km west of the city centre on the southern bank of the Mekong River. It is surrounded by tree-lined tropical mountains.

The 14th to 17th holes run parallel to the riverbank. the 3-par 17th hole is situated on the right side of the riverbank. the 4-par 18th hole has an uphill fairway with an elevation of 35 ft. and a length of 375 yards, while the medium-sized green is downhill with an elevation of 7 ft. from right to left and spans 75 ft. across the putting surface. In general, the greens are of medium and small size.

There is little variation in elevation throughout the course, with the exception of the 18th hole. Walking on the course is a breeze as the terrain slopes are of a gently undulating nature. The fairways are relatively new with landing areas averaging 35 to 40 yards in width. The course has bunkers to protect most of the greens and fairway bunkers are everywhere, which affects the layout of the tee positions on all holes except the 14th and par 3s. 

Like other classic courses, Luang Prabang offers visitors and golfers an unforgettable swing. Its fairways are unrivalled and golfers can truly enjoy the sense of adventure when playing the first 9 holes away from the Mekong River. After conquering the 3-par 17th hole, golfers will head uphill to the fairway of the 18th hole and finally approach the clubhouse. The picturesque par 72, 7,443-yard course is a place where every challenge a golfer takes on is like an adventure. At the end of the day, golfers can relax in the unhurried atmosphere of the clubhouse.
