Settlers Run Golf & Country Club

Officially opened in 2007, the Club is the newest golf course in the Cranbourne area and is situated in the centre of a 500-home residential development on the outskirts of Melbourne that Greg Norman's Golf and Real Estate Company helped to create.

The course sits on a triangular site, with wide fairways winding through a large residential neighbourhood that is (incredibly) somehow rather inconspicuously tucked away in the background, isolated from the game of golf.

There is a noticeable elevation change (on the front nine), and the par-5 9th is already a favourite, with its downhill tee shot followed by a long uphill second (and possibly third) shot to a well-protected green. There are only three par threes in this set, each with a different location on the compass. The best of the three is probably the shortest, the 165-yard 11th, which is surrounded by tall pines on the right side of the green and a huge bunker protecting the left side of the green.
