Located 30 minutes south-east of the CBD, Spring Valley Golf Club is one of Melbourne's famous links courses with one of the best layouts in Australia. A traditional sandbelt course, the strategy of the game includes accuracy off the tee and precision green attacking.

The modern clubhouse sits on slightly higher ground than the rest of the course, resulting in gently sloping tee shots and uphill, difficult finishing holes with elevated fairways. The fairways are tree lined, hard surfaced and surrounded by bunkers, with water even affecting play on the par 4 13th hole.
