Padang Golf Sukajadi

Padang Sukagadi Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course located near the centre of Batam Island. The original design was conceived by golf course architects ThomsonWolveridge & Perrett in the late 1980s. However, due to the economic slowdown, the course was only redeveloped and officially opened in 2009 by a local architect and land developer.

In 2010, the Padang Sukagadi Golf Club course hosted the first Indonesian Golf Association Amateur Open. Subsequently, in 2014, the course was ranked the second best course in Batam by Golf Digest Singapore, and in 2015, Sukagadi hosted the 31st Indonesia Women's Amateur Open.

The course is 6,340 metres long and offers four different sets of tees to suit all levels of golfers. Despite the relatively flat terrain, the course has been skilfully terraformed to create beautiful undulations and mounds that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also very strategic. As with many flat parkland style courses, water hazards are everywhere in play. The excellent drainage system allows for a quick return to play even after heavy rainfall in the tropics.
