St Andrews Castle Course

The Castle Course is the work of renowned Scottish designer David Macaulay Kidd. It has been described by some as the 'black sheep' of the Seven Sisters of St Andrews. This is because the other six courses are largely natural, with little earthmoving. The Castle Course, however, has undergone major surgery and, like Wuthering Gap and Kingsbarns, has had a lot of sand brought in to create man-made mounds that have completely altered its inherently flat landscape.
