Welcome to Levels, home of the Timaru Golf Club.
At 6,000 metres for men and over 5,000 metres for ladies, The Levels has a reputation as a testing championship golf course that challenges the very best players.
Developed on free draining soil the course provides excellent under-foot conditions all year round. The course was initially designed by well-known course architects Wolvridge and Thomson and was opened in 1959. Since then it has hosted a number of national events including age-group championships and senior inter-provincial competitions.Welcome to Levels, home of the Timaru Golf Club.
Course architect Chris Pitman was commissioned to redesign aspects of the course and the committee has begun to implement his recommendations. We are currently developing a number of significant humps and hollows on most holes and in April we will be installing a state-of-the-art irrigation system. The development of a further lake and reseeding of some fairways is also planned.
Upon completion The Levels will resume its status as the premier course in our region.
